This course aims to introduce students to approaches and methods in applied global studies research.

Overview

Course content

It provides students with knowledge to be able to identify diverse theoretical underpinnings and methodological tools used to generate and analyse data in the context of a multidisciplinary and evolving field of studies. Emphasis will be placed on qualitative and basic quantitative research techniques and their applications. Throughout the course, ethical aspects of research will also be considered.

Online course platform

This course uses Canvas as the online course platform. The course platform will be opened two weeks before the course begins to all students who were accepted. Here you will be able to access literature, assignments, announcements, as well as participate in discussions and communicate with teachers.
