In Case of Emergency: Possibility of One-year Master
If for some reason you are unable to complete the full two-year programme at Graduate School, you have the option of changing your programme track to a one-year master of 60 credits. This is an option that we provide to students who are unable to fulfill their programmes due to personal emergencies or any other extenuating circumstances. If you are a current student wishing to learn more about this option, contact the Academic Advisor by telephone 046-222 49 83 or by katherine [dot] anderson_ahlstedt [at] sam [dot] lu [dot] se (subject: Study%20Advising) (e-mail). Our contact information can be found here.
In order for us to secure a supervisor for the thesis course for one-year master students, it is highly important that you notify us as early as possible, if you wish to pursue this option.
The one-year master is not an official Graduate School programme and thus it is not advertised as an option open for application. However, it provides a possibility for those students who cannot finish the full programme, to receive a degree after one year of studies.
