Limited Office Hours Over Winter Holiday

As a reminder, the Graduate School Administration Office will have limited office hours over the winter holiday. The office will be closed from December 22nd to January 6th. As always, you can email us anytime at: kanslis_master [at] sam [dot] lu [dot] se, but please bear in mind that there may be a delayed response over the holiday.

 

Thesis Introduction Meeting

Join us for a thesis introduction meeting for all second-year Graduate School students on Monday, January 21st from 10:00-12:00 in R240. Students will be given a general introduction to thesis writing and a presentation of support and activities related to thesis writing provided by the Graduate School and other institutions.

On Monday, January 21st, 2018, three Graduate School courses will hold course introduction meetings.

Thesis Submission for January Examination

For Graduate School students submitting their theses for examination in January, the Graduate School will be holding a thesis submission on Monday, January 7th, 2019, from 9:00-11:00 in R236. Students are asked to bring two printed copies of their completed thesis, and to submit it on Live@Lund as well. Examination seminars will be held from January 15-18. News from the Faculty of Social Sciences

 

SamBib Holiday Opening Hours

Please note that SamBib will have limited opening hours over the winter holiday. From Saturday, December 22nd - New Years Day, Monday, January 1st, the library will be closed. From Wednesday, January 2nd to Friday, January 4th, the library wil be open from 10.00-14.00. The library will then be closed again on the Twelfth Night, January 5th and on Epiphany January 6. Outside of those dates, the ordinary opening hours are: Mon-Thu: 09.00-20.00; Fri: 09.00-18.00; Sat-Sun: 11.00-16.00

 

Seminar: Education and ethnicity in Southwest China: Academic discussion, teacher education and school practices in Xishuangbanna and Qianjiang

Wei Wang is a doctoral candidate in pedagogy in the Sociology department at Lund University.

Wei Wang presents his project: Education and ethnicity in Southwest China: Academic discussion, teacher education and school practices in Xishuangbanna and Qianjiang. Discussant is Fred Dervin, Helsinki University. Departmental member of the reviewing committee is Mina O'Dowd. Supervisors are Barbara Schulte and Glen Helmstad. The seminar will be held in English.
